Down but not Out…………And the Reds Go marching On!!!

Here are some facts:
October 20th 1996 (96-97 season) Newcastle defeated Manchester United 5 – 0
October 26th 1996 (96-97 season) Southampton defeated Manchester United 6 – 3
January 1st 1996 (95-96 season) Tottenham Hotspurs defeated Manchester United 4 –1
October 3rd 1999 (99-00 season) Chelsea defeated Manchester United 5- 0
Some people say that history repeats itself and so
October 23rd 2011 (11-12 season) Manchester City defeated Manchester United 6-1

But if history is really that canny to repeat itself I will take it because can anyone make any guess what happened in the above mentioned years…. 95-96 / 96-97 / 99-00 all ended with one result the Crowing of MANCHESTER UNITED as CHAMPIONS of the Premier League.

Disclaimer: These statistics above are only for fools and apparently some Pundits who believe that the loss in one match means as they call it a “Transfer in Power” from the Red to the Blue.

But I would like to interpret the above facts as follows that whenever the Red Devils have had a loss by a big margin they have woken up realized that their comfort zone is being encroached upon and respond with the might of real champions.

First up I accept that the Red Devils played bad they had a bad day at work. But that’s it, it was a day when they got it all wrong… We accept the point and move on, not dwell on it, I could write an essay on how our back 4 crumbled how we were feeble in midfield how some defenders lost their cool and got themselves sent off. But there is already a lot been said about that and so I won’t.

I am sure Man United and the gaffer Sir Alex Fergusson will have learnt their lesson. Sir Alex is not a man to forget the shortcomings of his team so easily. And I will bet money that they will hear a few harsh words from him about this. But what really amazes me is that a normal person thinks that with one defeat a team that has a history of winning the league the most number of times are done ….. It makes me laugh that people want to write off the most experienced manager who has for the last 25 years been at the helm of one of the most successful clubs in the world. He has already rebuilt this team 5 times and though I don’t think we are in any urgent need of rebuilding I am sure he can do it a sixth time.

What I really fail to see is why people don’t like their own clubs rather than hate Man united. I think it has to do with the fact that we are by far the best club in England today and so all of ‘em hate us because they can’t be us. But that’s just the petty minded individuals. I feel sad for them. I like Man United but that doesn’t mean I hate Chelsea or Arsenal…. You don’t need to hate a club to show how much you love the Club you support.

As far as a transfer of Power is concerned there is no such concept. And if there was it did not start this week or this month it started 2 years ago when a wealthy sheik started throwing unimaginable sums of money into the club. And what do they get in return a person who doesn’t want to play for the club….but that’s a different story all together I shall keep that for later

Only a word of caution to all those people who think that Man united have lost their powers feel free to say so… but write us off only at your own peril.
We shall keep coming back
Glory Glory Man United!!!!!
A Proud Red Devil

FORMULA 1 HITS NEW HIGHS (DOES IT REALLY!!!!!!!)

FERRARI ALL THE WAY

Recently I read a article on BBC online with the title “Formula one hits new highs” http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7052783.stm

that left me thinking REALLY I don’t think so ……

How could one call this a new high I personally think this isn’t anything to be proud of a season in which one of the team is stripped of points because of using other teams “ TECHNICAL ” information……… A season in which a team has to use FIA approved monitoring system to assure the world that they are treating their drivers equally……….. A season in which Ferrari are lagging all season just to realize McLaren have been upto no good.

You know about Mclaren what I hate is the way they played the spying saga….

Its like in poker you know your opponents cards and then you are contemplating your move…..

The Alonso Hammilton …. later the Alonso Dennis Saga It was handled way to bad I think. For one such details should not have leaked out to the press… Also the born Loser Alonso should stop being a cry baby that he has always been first it was I will tell the press about spying information then Dennis doesn’t treat me equally I am not comfortable with McLaren and now Mclaren tactics were wrong otherwise we would have won come on man live with it….. Stop blaming other stuff and acknowledge you weren’t the best driver this season.

But I would not go to call it an all new low even…….. it did give us an entertaining season guys………… C’mon who thought a 22 year old kid will come and lead the season almost all through……. It was great to see way a 3 way race to the title with the title literally changing hands on the final day (Hope that it remains so with the case of fuel irregularities Mclaren may just be gifted some silverware) that apart on field it was certainly entertaining sometimes frustrating seeing that Ferraris have no answer to McLaren…..missing god (Schumi) thinking of the possibilities if he were there on track but Alas….

Ferrari all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!

But I will still say hats off to Kimi Iceman Raikonnen who proved that given the right mahine he can and he did make the difference…..

It was Australia this year that I said he is gonna win the title and people did not believe me ok I do agree I did think at one point of time I were dreaming to big but he did make it come true at the end…….. I am happy that he won and that he made Fernando LOSER Alonso eat dust…. Hammilton is a great thing that is happening to F1 new young blood who can almost handle pressure….. nice to see him race.

Fillipe was there some where in the early stages but went out of consideration soon. Will have to give it to the Ferrari Technical team to keep their hard work up and work out the right combination for the final races.

And also the fact that next year Bye bye SPYKER and welcome FORCE INDIA kudos Mallya with an Indian buying a F1 team the Indian GP seems inevitable….

Also just announced there will be a night race in the Singapore in the next extended (18 race) calendar year…………

Hope it another Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro Year ………..

VINCENTI DABITUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VINCENTI DABITUR

Vincenti Dabitur ! That noble clarion call
Resounds in every heart, and beckons us all
Come, let us rally round, and by its spirit stand
Thus, shall we truly serve our School, our Home, our Land

Vincenti Dabitur ! Vincenti Dabitur !
Students fair and true, we shall dare and do, and win.

Vincenti Dabitur ! We follow with delight
Though paths beset with woe we'll ne'er quail with fright
Though life may take us far o'er sea or mount or plain
From proud and grateful hearts we'll swear our School refrain

Vincenti Dabitur ! Vincenti Dabitur !
Students fair and true, we shall dare and do, and win.

Saint Vincents high my middle school………….

I think this is all I need to say for this blog ……………..

Settling Down Again far away from Home…

This is my first scribble so please read at your own risk ……………

The time has come in my life to move into a new phase of life ….. I like to call it the 8 –5 phase ie. job days

When I had left Pune 2 years ago I was scared that was I or was I not going to settle down in a new land in kallu land in Detroit but then along came Helen Deroy apartments my home away from home.

I will never ever forget those days…… the fall of 2005 the first days those aimless walks on campus those discussions with koya near macd’s those sarkars in 406, by hearting those dialogs from swades. I was worried then what will become of me.

But I survived managed stayed fought. Did everything that I thought was to be done….. Today sitting in Chicago I think I have the same feelings going through me have I lost all that I earned in two years………… Will I ever get those fun filled days those friends and their company.

Those evenings rather nights of playing monopoly those 3 am visits to wallmart those starbucks coffees those chats those trips……………

Here in Chicago having left what came to be near and dear to me …….. I have my own little reservations as to where life is taking me the uncertainty that a contract position brings with you and also the feeling that may be that you could have made a difference to someone if you had not left Detroit for good.

The unopened bags infront of you tell you a whole different story……….. lazy ass put things in place

Feels different maybe cause I till date never had the privilege of having a whole room to myself may be @ good old pune or deroy 901 /610 where we were 5 guys minimum in a 2 bed………….. it feels different not bad mind u but different

Got to start all over again make new friends…………. No I aint saying I am going to leave my trusted ones but still…………..

Lets see as they say let time do the talking
